Chebe Powder is the haircare secret of the Basara African ethnic group in Chad known to have very long naturally coarse hair texture that famously goes passed their rear ends. The women from this tribe have perfected a hair care regimen that works perfectly in helping them retain the length of their hair. People initially thought that their hair length was due to genetics, after inquiring on the subject, the women said that it was most definitely not due to genetics since they do not apply the chebe powder mixture to the bangs of the hair which stays short. However the back parts of the hair which they do use the powder mixture on,in their routine doesn't break and grows very long and strong. They cover their hair in the home made mixture that keeps their hair super moisturized and lubricated which is the reason they say their hair never breaks even from childhood.
The ingredients include Mahlaba (Cherry kernels), Samour (Mastic Gum), Clove & Sudanese Khumra Perfume oils. The name of the plant which they refer to as ‘Chebe’ is the Lavender Croton. It is a shrub and it is grown primarily in West Africa, mainly Ghana, Nigeria, Gambia and Burkina Faso.
Directions for Use.

When doing this, apply water first (L), then instead of cream, use a finely grounded powder made from local ingredients(C) chebe powder. Then seal in the moisture with Karkar oil or butter(O). Moisture is key: Firstly, apply water first (L) apply some water to the hair & then their (C) chebe powder ingredient mix and then lock in with oil (O) to keep the hair hydrated & moist.
